Serving since 1948, we are committed to protecting the community of Malta and the surrounding districts in Saratoga County as well as providing disaster relief wherever the call for help goes out.

Our Mission

The Malta Ridge Volunteer Fire Company (MRVFC) is comprised of just over 60 volunteers, less than 0.4% of the town residents. They are men and women who will be there at the scene of your car accident, show up in the middle of the night if your fire or carbon monoxide alarm goes off, or help put out the fire that threatens your property and the lives of those in your family. Responding to 383 calls last year, there are many other reasons they may be called on, but these are just a few examples.

I have no ambition in this world but one, and that is to be a fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but we who know the work which the fireman has to do believe that his is a noble calling. Our proudest moment is to save lives. Under the impulse of such thoughts, the nobility of the occupation thrills us and stimulates us to deeds of daring, even of supreme sacrifice.
— Chief Edward F. Croker
